About the Team
"The vision of 166 is to build a team based on trust, respect, and friendship. Dedicated to inspire others through building an outstanding robot." -Vision Statement created by the 2010 Team Council.
Chop Shop 166 is a FIRST Robotics team based out of Merrimack High School in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

Our main sponsor is BAE Systems, who provides funding and mentors. (Mentors assist the team with their specialties, such as woodworking or programming.) Please look at our sponsors page for more information.
We go to the Granite State Regional at the Verizon Center in Manchester, New Hampshire every year in March, and we also hold our own FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) off-season competition, known as "Mayhem in Merrimack" in June.
We are involved with FIRST in ways besides just competition, especially in FIRST Lego League. Our team mentors FIRST Lego League (FLL) teams at Mastricola Upper Elementary School and Merrimack Middle School. We run a FLL regional competition in Merrimack High School, and we assist with the New Hampshire State FLL Tournament. We run a Lego summer camp where we help kids make their own Lego robots to complete a challege that we make.

All of the competitions we attend and/or host are open to the public at no cost, so please come and see the excitement of a FIRST competition!
