The Chop Shop robot is coming along nicely. ProE has been working hard and constructing the robot digitally. The Mechanical team has been constructing the robot, and the chassis is nearing completion. Meanwhile, the electrical and software teams are preparing to hard-wire the robot.

Organization and communication are keys to success. At the end of several meetings, the Chop Shop held "stand-up" meetings, where anyone present at the end of the night would stand around the captain and leaders to be briefed quickly about what was going on that day.

A stand-up meeting in progress.

The "marketing" team, per say, is the nickname for the website and chairman's team. The members of the unofficial group also make handouts for the competition. This year's is beaded keychains.

Chairman's subteam is working diligently. The essay has been drafted and edited already. The theme is fire. A sample:

"A raging fire sears, leaving nothing untouched. It spreads rapidly and marks everything in its path; our team is a fire, burning a passion through the community and influencing everyone it touches. This influence flows freely wherever we go, showing the community our abilities, our values, and our commitment."
